I’m so excited to start this series of posts about Amy and Pete’s incredible milwaukee wedding. I was thrilled (!) when Amy asked me to photograph her wedding because not only is she a fabulous person, but she’s also a fellow wedding industry professional.
her wedding videography is incredible, if you haven’t checked it out yet then you MUST! Its always such an honor to be asked to photograph a fellow photographer’s wedding- and it comes with some serious pressure- but the best part is that they really ‘get’ it. I never had to explain to Amy the importance of natural light, or to have her getting ready details (dress, shoes, perfume, jewelry, garter, etc) organized and ready in the room to be photographed, or timeline, or that the best time to do photography is right before sunset…. she just already knew all of that. AND, whats more, i loved the vision for her wedding, i found myself getting just as excited about her details as she was.
and of course, a huge shout out to David Caruso of
dynamic events- he was incredible at coordinating the entire wedding weekend making sure everything went smoothly and without a hitch. We’re in love with him, and have decided that all of our brides need to use him! it was quite literally… perfect.
More from Amy and Pete’s wedding to follow… you are NOT going to want to miss this one!

I loved this sweet little destination wedding with Casey and Jake! do you remember them from the vintage TV engagement session? I can not tell you how great these guys are, they are so easy going and up for anything. and by up-for-anything i mean jumping in the ocean with your wedding dress (i’ll be posting their day after session tomorrow!) and devouring your cake – face first- during our photobooth at the reception. two more posts from this wedding to come in the next couple of days!
Thank you so much to Esther for coming along and second shooting for me! i just love her :)
More tomorrow! ta-ta!
