So a long time ago i ran across this photography company called “Next Exit Photography” and i laughed out loud, somewhat wishing i had come up with that name first because it is SO MY STYLE. i feel like the best locations appear as you’re driving down the road and you see a spot and you just have to take the ‘next exit’ and get back there. i love that spontineity, and it always results in the BEST sessions. those are the types of sessions that cant be planned, cant be scouted, they just happen, and are never able to be repeated again.
As we were driving to downtown Cabo we spotted this old deserted orange building with the thatched roof surrounded by giant cacti and this rustic wooden structure (pictured directly above). we drove down the old dusty drive and Mollie and Tony were such sports battling the prickers, the heat, the sun, and the dirt. amazing people these two are!
And, as soon as it is developed, i’ll also post a little taste of the medium format film i took with my film camera… i can’t wait to see how it turned out!
ps- thanks again to my wonderful assistant and second shooter Angela voell… I literally couldn’t have done it without her! from changing my lenses, helping with lighting, holding veils, taking some great shots, it felt like i was actually in two places at once! you can check out her work at green paint photography , or see some of her own pictures from Cabo on her blog at http://revoellutionaj.blogspot.com/

As always Lexi, simply amazing! You truly see the world in an artistic way, so beautiful!
