February 15, 2010a fun playful special edition valentines day maternity series!
and of course, some outtakes:
some explaining on this one…
this is what Tavish does when we say “show me your muscles!” he clenches his fists together and generally makes a mean mug, even though in this one he’s smiling. oh, boys will be boys!
engagement marathon teasers!
February 14, 2010just a few, a random sampling, of a couple of the amazing shots i got today of my engagement marathon couples! these are some of my favorites, so i thought they were blog worthy! and seriously, could these couples featured here be any more beautiful?
smaller versions of the two verticals for those of you with smaller screens!
happy valentines day everyone, i hope you are enjoying your loved ones!
digital vintage cameras!
February 11, 2010I LOVE vintage cameras. adore them. i like holding them, looking at them, shooting with them, photographing them, taking them apart and putting them back together… LOVE LOVE LOVE.
but, sadly, film does have some set backs. like no instant gratification (which can be good, sometimes i need to chill out a little bit and wait my turn). and sometimes its a little inconvenient to carry film with me, and worry about the temperature, and if it could get scratched, or light leaks, you know. all that hassle.
so what if i told you that there are now digital cameras with the vintage look? SIGN ME UP!
check out these beauties! they are for real digital cameras, made by MINOX of germany. 5 megapixel camera, with great resolution, and it’s a TEENY TINY size of 49 x 73 x 45 mm W x H x D. thats like… as big as my key chain. pop that baby right into my pocket and take it with me wherever i go. it would have come in so handy today when i witnessed my 1.5 year old son milking a cow. and i realized that, oh, i hadn’t brought my camera, because it’s HUGE and i didn’t want to hassle with it. so now, that memory was never captured.
if anyone wants to get me a christmas present… hint hint hint.
maternity series week 25
February 9, 2010Tuscany Album
February 6, 2010Another great album that i absolutely LOVE.
this is our contemporary, lay flat album. it’s leather bound, in your choice of colors, with a gold, silver, or blind embossing of your name and date of marriage on the front. when opened, the thick, heavy pages lay flat, with only a 1mm gutter seam in the middle. the gutter seam is the space right down the middle between the two pages. having a tight gutter seam means that you can have beautiful panoramic images that span the ENTIRE two pages with only a hint of a little line down the middle. and our gutter seam happens to be the tightest on the market to date… an amazing 1mm. you can barely see it. I have seen albums out there that have no gutter seam; the two pages have a photograph adhered to both sides, and it is folded in the middle where the gutter seam should be. that’s AWFUL for your photography…. would you fold your wedding photos in half? never! it destroys and breaks down the image, leads to color distortion in that area, and will eventually end up being destroyed. our Tuscany album has a slit already created so you can be assured that your album will last forever. each page is printed on kodak professional endura paper, and then coated with a protective laquer spray to ensure that it can be wiped clean, and will not be damaged by the elements. The rounded corners on each page are damage resistant, so you don’t have to worry about wear and tear on your album. i’ve had this sample album for a couple of years now, and i bring it to each client meeting and each wedding expo we’ve done. it’s been handled by literally HUNDREDS of people and carted everywhere across the country. it looks as good as the day it arrived!
finally, its placed in a beautiful presentation box for safekeeping!
love. love. love
