Here are some of the final images from the engagement session of Evan and Mark. this is the real deal folks… no faked “vintage” filters overlayed on a digital image, no fake “film” boarders added to the edges… what you see is what you get. it’s SO NICE when i get a client who is interested in doing old school film photography… it’s what i was brought up with, it’s what i was trained in, and i miss spending entire nights in the dark room slowly developing my prints in chemical trays and watching the image slowly come up. there is something so terrifying about not being able to see your image right away after taking it, and exciting at the same time! and the satisfaction after that entire wait? so fantastic.
so all of these photos were taken at their engagement session. you’ll notice there are a lot of objects as well, i try to include as much fine art photography as possible (because clients that request film services generally appreciate fine art!) as well as images of the couple. these images were taken with toy cameras, slide film, and an old camera from 1917 that is essentially a box, with a hole, and a slit for film. it has one button, and that is a trigger to release the shutter! ohhhh the days of simplicity
film services start at only 100.00 which is a STEAL considering the price of film and development these days! definitely consider doing this for your upcoming wedding or engagement session!

These are beautiful!! Love the authenticity of the process.
Wow, these photos are amazing. What a beautiful couple too! These are truly a work of art. Do you have a black room in your house??
